AUG 1 - 5, 2016: THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST SUMMER CAMP

WHO: 12 years thru High School

WHEN: August 1 - 5, 2016, 9am - 12pm (bring water bottle & daily snack)

FAMILY PERFORMANCE: 11:15am on August 6


WHERE:  Woodmoor Community Center ("The Barn"), 1691 Woodmoor Drive, Monument CO 80132

COST: $165/student or $300/two siblings

Costume to be provided by student for performance: long-sleeved shirt and trousers (boys); skirt and long-sleeved blouse (girls)

This classic play by Oscar Wilde is a theater staple! With the witty wordplay, ingenious irony, fast pace, and well-crafted scenes,
your theatre student will get a workout in
developing a character, choosing goals and tactics, and building a scene.

All students will learn lines from Algernon and Jack (boys) or Cecily and Gwendolen (girls) during the week for performances at the end of the week.

For 15 glorious hours we'll explore "Much Ado About Nothing" through storytelling, improvisation, art, music, stage combat, costumes, props, movement, and voice - and we'll create our own never-before-seen version of this popular comedy to entertain our family and friends! SHAKESPEARE OFF THE SHELF

If you are looking for a great acting camp this summer, then sign up to get SHAKESPEARE OFF THE SHELF with Tin Roof Productions! Through a variety of hands-on rehearsal techniques, including text, voice, and movement work used by the Royal Shakespeare Company in their rehearsal room, we'll explore "Much Ado About Nothing" and create our own original adaptation of this popular comedy. Performance on Friday for family and friends. This is a challenging yet supportive and fun camp to get Shakespeare "off the page and onto the stage" where he belongs!
